Bennett Arthur is an Associate Director in FRA’s Washington DC office. He has over 18 years’ experience in the legal field, working at law firms, eDiscovery providers and in-house legal departments.
Bennett has advised clients on every stage of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model, including data management, document retention, litigation holds, collections, database design, and review management. He has advised clients and counsel regarding data privacy and FCPA and OFAC investigations, including data identification, analytics, and alert generation, and assisted with the coordination and review of risk assessments, audits and testing.
Bennett has managed eDiscovery matters across global offices including regulatory investigations, white collar, international arbitration, and large merger reviews from HSR filing through second request and trial.
Since joining FRA, Bennett has worked on global anti-trust and compliance reviews in the shipping and construction industries. These reviews involved collection of data from several subsidiaries in the US, Europe, Asia, and South America, and processing, hosting, and review of data in the US and Europe.
Prior to FRA, Bennett was a Senior Project Manager at White & Case in Washington DC and a multinational eDiscovery provider in Paris. He was also a litigation associate and worked in eDiscovery as a project manager and in-house document review supervisor at Prudential Financial.
Bennett earned his Juris Doctor (JD) from Cardozo School of Law in New York and his Bachelor’s degree from Virginia Wesleyan University with majors in Political Science, French and International Studies. He is a Relativity Certified User (RCU) and is fluent in French, proficient in German, and conversational in Japanese.
