William Mui is a data analytics and forensic services professional with extensive experience in designing and delivering end-to-end forensic analytics solutions including data management, data analytics and sciences, and advanced analytics and modelling for investigative, dispute, and compliance matters.
William has over 12 years of experience leading cross-functional teams of compliance and technology professionals across a broad spectrum of industries. Prior to joining FRA, William was a Senior Manager at Ernst and Young in the Forensic Data Analytics and Sciences team managing data analytics teams on projects and investigations with pharmaceutical and healthcare clients in the life sciences industry.
William led multiple compliance and analytics teams on several multi-year DOJ investigations to study Government allegations of improper sales and marketing practices and kickbacks pursuant to the False Claims Act (FCA), the Anti-kickback Statute (AKS), and the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FDCA). He designed analytics around high risk activities including off-label marketing, speaker programs, specialty pharmacy arrangements, health care provide (HCP) payments and interactions, and other promotional activities. William worked closely with Counsel and testifying experts to design analytics and studies to support preparation of expert reports and testimony.
Additionally, William managed the design and implementation of a compliance monitoring platform to proactively monitor risks related to HCP payments and interactions utilizing multiple signals, tests, metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and visualization capabilities as part of a comprehensive analytics solution to enhance for the client’s compliance monitoring and analytics function.
William has a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Information Engineering with a Minor in Engineering Management from the Cornell University. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
