Forensic Risk Alliance Appoints First Global Chief Information Officer

October 1, 2020

Albert Santiago will lead FRA’s new global strategy and operations for Information Technology and Information Security.

October 1, 2020, LONDON: Forensic Risk Alliance (FRA), a forensic accounting, data governance and information management, and compliance consultancy firm specialising in international corruption and fraud investigations for global corporations and the law firms that represent them, today announces the appointment of Albert Santiago as Global Chief Information Officer.

Albert will be responsible for overseeing the global strategy and operations for the firm’s Information Technology (IT) and Information Security (IS) departments. Given the accelerating data governance and regulatory compliance challenges that corporations face, the new position will further enhance FRA’s internal capabilities to deliver the best possible solutions for clients to help them meet these challenges.

The new role will focus on leading the team in executing all strategic and operational objectives by implementing technological, operational and procedural systems and platforms to streamline internal infrastructure and operations, optimize external client experience, and advance information security capabilities. This will ensure FRA and its clients can operate IT systems in the most secure environment.

With 20 years of experience in network engineering, administration and IT project management, and specialised expertise in project management and system enhancement, Albert is ideally qualified for leading the development of FRA’s IT strategy as well as its operational and technological infrastructure. Albert has held leaderships positions in IT security within both the public and private sectors including the Department of Homeland Security and in a leading law firm.

Frances McLeod, Founder, FRA, commented: “We are excited to be appointing Albert as our first global Chief Information Officer to develop and lead FRA’s Information Technology and Information Security strategy. As a business that operates with increasingly complex systems and that handles sensitive client information, it is absolutely essential to ensure we are operating in the safest and most efficient ways to support the needs of our clients. With Albert’s strong experience in IT security, we are well-placed for growing our internal and external capabilities.”

Albert Santiago, Global Chief Information Officer, FRA, said: “I am proud to be working for a globally leading firm that prides itself on delivering optimal technologically driven solutions for a multitude of clients across both public and private spheres. My dedicated role as CIO gives the company a focused IT and IS strategy as well as greater performance optimisation initiatives to keep us on a strong growth trajectory.”
