Forensic Risk Alliance (FRA) appoints former FBI Special Agent, Roy Pollitt as Partner in the Financial Fraud team in New York

October 12, 2022

11 October 2022, New York: Forensic Risk Alliance (FRA), a forensic accounting, data analytics and eDiscovery consultancy specialising in international and complex investigations, compliance, and disputes, has appointed Roy Pollitt as Partner in the New York office.

As a former Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Special Agent, with over 25 years’ experience in financial and racketeering investigations involving money laundering, bribery and corruption, Roy will focus on leveraging his experience in these areas and developing clients across the financial services sector.

Prior to his appointment, Roy was Head of Regulatory Affairs and Vice President at online gaming company, DraftKings. Having first launched his career in Arthur Andersen and Lehman Brothers, Roy has built a trusted reputation working with clients on money laundering investigations and cross-border, complex criminal cases. He spent 17 years as a Special Agent in the FBI, where he was involved in a seven-year, multi-billion-dollar, international money laundering investigation targeting the offshore, online gaming industry. Roy was then hired by Exiger as a money laundering subject matter expert. Here he was a senior member of the Department of Justice’s mandated monitorship of HSBC Bank that focused on anti-money laundering and sanctions controls where he led large teams in numerous jurisdictions.

Jenna Voss, Partner at Forensic Risk Alliance, said: “I am delighted to have Roy join us in our New York office. Roy brings a wealth of experience in money laundering and financial fraud, and has invaluable first-hand insight into the gaming industry across both public and private sectors. He has a fantastic reputation among clients and colleagues alike as someone who goes above and beyond to get results. Roy will play a pivotal role as we continue to build our presence as a trusted advisor in the New York market and I look forward to collaborating with him to shape a new era of growth for FRA.”

Commenting on his appointment, Roy Pollitt, Partner at Forensic Risk Alliance, added: “As the bank and non-bank financial sector faces ever-increasing regulatory requirements, there is heightened demand for AML work in this space. I am looking forward to working with FRA on growing this opportunity.”
