Actioning Sanctions: 3 Months Pulsecheck

May 24, 2022

Three months on from a seismic shift in the scale and global issuing of economic sanctions, how does it feel for those on the front lines of complying with the complex web of Russia Sanctions?

Economic sanctions quickly emerged as the primary strategy for countries looking to curb Putin’s Government’s acts of war in Ukraine. With no end in sight for the war, they are now a long-term, and perhaps permanent, fixture impacting all aspects of our lives.

The exceptional breadth, depth and number of Russia sanctions rolled out at pace has presented significant challenges for businesses, organisations and governments alike. From the court of public opinion to the laws of the land, only time will tell what the full impact will be.

Three months on from when the first US sanction was announced, we ask three quick questions on how companies and law firms are faring. All responses will be completely confidential.
