Demand for large investigations has dipped, lawyers say

How has the pandemic impacted investigative work?

After speaking to industry insiders from former government officials, prominent lawyers at major firms and in-house counsel at blue chip companies, GIR reported that individuals spoken to have had a "mixed bag" of experiences surrounding how the pandemic has impacted investigative work.

Some reported no change in their workload with new investigations coming in, while others reported seeing a dry spell for large investigations.

FRA Founding Partner Toby Duthie discusses how he has noticed a lull in large, high-profile investigations, coming through and how these investigations are getting increasingly difficult to get going in a remote environment, in GIR.
