Anurag Spatzenegger is an Associate Director in FRA’s Data Governance, Technology and Forensics practice. In his position as manager of FRA’s Data Governance practice in Paris, France, Anurag brings over 15 years of technology experience in database management, metadata standards and design of workflows around data processes. Anurag assists companies and legal counsel in navigating the complexities of eDiscovery matters by providing client-centric solutions to complex and unique challenges.
Anurag has worked in a variety of roles within the eDiscovery landscape including data processing, database management, forensic collection and analysis, and project management. This well-rounded background has imparted him with extensive knowledge of the complete eDiscovery lifecycle and expertise using standard processing and review tools, including Relativity, Digital Reef and Forensic Toolkit. He is able to apply this background, along with his technical and analytical skillset, to support FRA clients in a wide range of Data Governance matters.
At FRA, Anurag has worked on global anti-trust, bribery and corruption cases. These cases involved data collections in the Americas, Asia, Australia and Europe, with data processing and review from Europe, United Kingdom and the United States. Anurag specializes in supporting FRA’s custom mobile processing and review platform which offers an air-gapped eDiscovery solution that can be deployed behind a client’s firewall.
Anurag is a Relativity Certified User, fluent in English, and a native German speaker.
- Designed and facilitated data processes for a complex multi-jurisdiction eDiscovery case involving multiple air-gapped mobile solutions deployed on client premises, containing potentially nationally sensitive data, with a total document volume of 300+ million across 700 custodians.
- Responsible for covering a technical workstream as part of a multi-year FRA monitorship of a global engineering company in the automotive sector.
- Worked with the client and their legal counsel to create a custom document repository to be used by the attorneys during civil litigation trial of a high profile case in the airline industry.
- Managed the complete eDiscovery data lifecycle and review workflow, including TAR, for a complex, multi-jurisdiction anti-trust investigation of a global leader in the shipping industry, with simultaneous review in the USA and France.
