Gordon is a Partner at FRA and has over 21 years experience working in top tier global banks in a variety of control, accounting and valuation related roles. His expertise includes investigating and remediating control failures, product control, capital markets, valuations and risk, fair value (Mark to Market) accounting, due diligence and data control.

Gordon has also been involved in a number of major investigations of valuation and accounting control failures, including identification of how the failures occurred and design and remediation of the control environment to prevent reoccurrence.

Since joining FRA Gordon has investigated, and produced expert report on, Mark to Market accounting in a trading company with respect to a major civil accounting fraud case.

Gordon was part of the FRA team supporting Airbus in a multi-year forensic accounting and eDiscovery review within the context of the company’s multinational investigation, reporting to four investigative authorities: UK Serious Fraud Office (SFO), the US Department of Justice (DOJ), the US Department of State (DOS) and French Parquet National Financier (PNF). Gordon’s team focused on a risk assessment and evaluation of the company’s anti-bribery and corruption (ABC) global compliance program.

Gordon has also been involved with profit calculation for a resources company facing a potential DOJ fine, investigation of accounting anomalies in a private company and calculation of trading profits on mis-sold derivative products of an investment bank.

Prior to joining FRA Gordon has worked at Credit Suisse, HSBC and most recently at Deutsche Bank. His roles have included reviewing and remediating market data and market risk controls, designing and implementing new front to back control models, reviewing product and structure valuations, implementation of new accounting standards and of new banking regulations. Gordon worked within the Product Control Department, responsible for producing and validating the banks trading p&l and balance sheet.

Prior to this Gordon worked for BDO for three years and qualified as a UK Chartered Accountant.
