Biography
Jin-hyung Jeong is a Director at FRA Korea. He brings 16 years of experience in computer forensic matters. His primary areas of concentration are digital investigations and eDiscovery, fraud examination, data leakage analysis, and intellectual property matters. Mr. Jeong has worked with clients across a range of industries, including biotechnology, pharmaceutical, steel, semiconductor, government public office and power plant.
Prior to joining FRA, Mr. Jeong spent three years with EY Korea’s forensics team, where he most recently served as Senior Manager. He served as a subject matter expert for various computer forensic analysis projects involving global companies’ disputes, regulatory investigations, and fraud investigations. He also served as eDiscovery Manager, supervising data preservation/collection, processing and production for Korean clients’ US litigations, ITC investigations, and DOJ, FTC matters and international arbitration cases in Korea, Hong Kong, China, Japan, US and EU.
In addition, Mr. Jeong has performed various forensic investigations and eDiscovery matters at Alvarez & Marsal Korea, AlixPartners Korea, and Deloitte Korea.
He also worked on investigating cyber security incidents for corporates and performed security breach prevention work through vulnerability diagnosis.
Mr. Jeong has a bachelor's degree in information security from the National University of Mokpo and completed a certified master’s course in information security at the University of Korea.
He has comprehensive knowledge in industry best practices and the usage of industry-standard tools including Relativity, Nuix, Axiom, Reveal, EnCase and FTK.
He is an EnCase certified examiner (EnCE) and Certified Information Security System Professional (CISSP)in digital forensics and information security.
