Biography

Mike Sawyer is a Manager in FRA’s Forensic Technology team, based in Washington DC. With a wealth of experience spanning over a decade, Mike specializes in media support, data processing, and the efficient loading of data into review platforms as well as project management.

Since joining FRA in 2017, Mike has honed his skills with a variety of industry-leading tools, including Access Data’s Forensic Toolkit, TransPerfect’s Digital Reef, Relativity, and Nuix eDiscovery. His expertise ensures the seamless handling and processing of complex data sets, providing critical support to our eDiscovery operations. Mike has managed datasets varying in complexity and structure, with cases reaching up to multiple terabytes. He has been heavily involved in a number of cases, ranging from internal investigations to large class-action matters, handling large datasets swiftly and efficiently.

Before his tenure at FRA, Mike accumulated extensive experience as a Systems Administrator. He has worked for major organizations such as Boston Scientific, Apollo Security, and EDS/Hewlett-Packard. At Boston Scientific, Mike played a crucial role in supporting the internal eDiscovery team by managing a diverse array of eDiscovery software platforms.

Mike is a Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) and Relativity Certified Expert, demonstrating his commitment to professional development and excellence in the field. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Science from Johnson & Wales University.
