Sam Ouerfelli is a Senior Associate in FRA’s Forensic Technology Advisory Services team, where he serves as an eDiscovery consultant. Sam specializes in the collection, analysis, and reporting of diverse data types. He has provided strategic guidance to many law firms and their clients – particularly in construction, financial, and technology-related matters. His expertise spans the entire Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), establishing complex workflows dealing with multi-jurisdictional issues, export controls, and data privacy restrictions. ​

Sam’s practice at FRA has concentrated on dispute and litigation matters. He has played a pivotal role in cases involving High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI), joint defence multi-party issues and companies facing insolvencies, contract disputes, bribery, fraud, and money laundering within the financial and energy sectors. He actively supports clients throughout the entire litigation process, from data identification and preservation to production, collaborating closely with legal professionals and subject matter experts to pinpoint relevant information ahead of witness interviews and trials. ​

Sam has also supported cross-border investigations, navigating high-profile cases involving regulatory bodies in the UK, France and the US. He has successfully managed matters of different sizes, including intricate cases relating to ITAR-related matters addressing military and state secrets, SARs requests with highly sensitive data, and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) manipulation. ​

An advocate of leveraging analytical tools, including structured analytics sets and AI solutions, Sam prioritizes educating clients on different tools before project kick-off to ensure an efficient workflow. He focuses on accurate data collection, processing, and analysis, streamlining datasets to facilitate review, ultimately reducing costs and time in the process. Sam is well-versed in advising clients promptly on production specifications based on the number and type of datasets involved, as well as the regulatory bodies overseeing the case.​

Before joining FRA, Sam garnered experience in the aerospace, electronics, blockchain, and entrepreneurship fields. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering and Pilot Studies, which has positioned him well to support subject matter experts and counsel in this field. ​

Fluent in English, French and Arabic and currently seconded to Dubai from the London Office, Sam brings a global perspective to his role.​
