Biography
Sameer is a Senior Associate in the Forensic Technology and Advisory team and is based in FRA’s Dubai office. He has over five years of experience conducting digital and computer forensic examinations and investigations, working end-to-end on the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM). He has conducted large matters across the Asia Pacific, Canada, Denmark, and the Middle East.
Sameer leverages advanced commercial and open-source tools to provide analysis of electronic evidence, summarizes expert reports, and addresses complex requirements to assist his clients. He has also conducted on-site search and seizures and raids and been involved in serving Anton Pillar orders. He has collected hundreds of digital storage media, including servers, laptops, desktops, mobile phones, and more. Sameer has mastered a wide range of tools, such as EnCase, Axiom, Relativity, Nuix workstation, eCapture Ipro, and Vound Intella.
Before joining FRA, Sameer was at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP, where he collaborated with other Deloitte teams from Canada, Denmark, and the UAE on high-profile digital forensic and eDiscovery projects. He also worked at KPMG in India. In his previous role with Deloitte Canada, he was involved in managing internal reviewers on sensitive investigations; maintaining quality control of technical deliverables; managing cost estimates and engagement outputs for clients; and developing verbal and written presentations of technical deliverables. He also has extensive experience conducting internal investigations and IP theft cases, investigating compromised machines, and assisting senior stakeholders on custodian interviews.
Sameer received a Bachelor of Technology in Computer and Communication Engineering from Manipal University Jaipur and holds several industry-recognized certifications, including EnCase Certified Examiner, Relativity Processing Specialist, and Relativity Review Management Specialist.
