Suspension of the safe harbor program could present serious problems for companies and their operations as the alternative options for ensuring safe data transfer are increasingly limited. Greg Mason, Founding partner, at Forensic Risk Alliance considers a series of alternative options including obtaining consent from all individuals who are subjects of the data and creating Binding Corporate Rules which would allow an organisation to transfer data cross-border within the organisation.
