GIR: Forensic Procedures in Securities Investigations

December 19, 2023

Delving into securities-related investigations, this chapter in the third edition of GIR’s The Guide to International Enforcement of the Securities Laws explores common investigation areas and the corresponding forensic procedures. While each investigation stands as a unique entity shaped by the nature of the alleged wrongdoing, jurisdiction, and industry specifics, there are common elements shared across most cases.

Our experts, including Frances McLeod, Jerry Hansen, Neil Keenan and Alejandro Gomez-Igbo provide insights into various facets of securities-related investigations. Special attention will be given to common areas of focus and the deployment of techniques specific to each type of investigation, with a spotlight on data collection and processing considerations.
