Bhavin Shah, FRA's Head of MEA, spoke today at The Wealth Today Summit where wealth practitioners across the region, such as family offices, wealth managers and regulators gathered to hear from experts on a variety of topics from leveraging data to cryptocurrencies to technological breakthroughs.
Top of mind throughout the Summit was the volatility and the dynamic changes happening in the finance and investment landscape. Bhavin moderated the panel discussion on Family offices investing in Crypto. The panel discussed how family offices have only just dipped their toes in crypto as an asset class within the last year. Increasingly, it's becoming a substantial portion of their portfolios but it's imperative that investment in crypto is deployed as a long-term investment strategy. The volatility we're currently seeing will continue as the market matures and investing in the short term may see adverse impacts on the value of their portfolio.
