Biography
Johanna Epe is a Manager in FRA’s London office in the Forensic Accounting team. Johanna has worked on a wide range of engagements including review of contracts and compliance monitoring.
Johanna has recently been working with a Middle Eastern client and its legal advisors to implement a robust end-to-end third party risk management program. Further Johanna has been assisting a multinational technology company with a compliance transformation project, following recently identified cases of bribery and corruption within the company.
Further engagements include supporting the FRA partner appointed by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) to serve as independent compliance monitor for a German automotive engineering firm following its role in helping an automobile company cheat vehicle emissions testing performed by the US Environmental Protection Agency. During this monitorship, Johanna has been assessing the GRC, investigations and training processes.
Prior to joining FRA in 2020, Johanna worked in leading law firms such as Sidley Austin LLP and DWF LLP in Washington DC, Munich and London, where she gained significant experience in contract drafting, negotiation and review as well as disputes. She has extensive experience with the negotiation and review of corporate and business contracts, including royalty contracts. Johanna also specializes in the analysis of international contracts for arbitration, registering trademarks and filing patents.
Johanna has a degree in German European and International law from the University of Munich and a first class honours degree in English law from the University of Hertfordshire, UK.
